David had a nasty accident at work at Sands when some petrol exploded all over his head and arms.  

Huggy Gibbs provided first aid  and put the flames out before David was taken to the doctor where he was treated with gentian violet to good effect.

David says that he owes his life to Huggy’s fast reactions.
