One of our younger “Voices”, David Nudd speaks candidly of his childhood, his mother’s premature death and his father’s problems. In contrast he speaks of happier times, his early days spent watching birds and collecting eggs and his love of painting which was kindled by lessons from famous artist Roland Green.

Later he describes how he and his wife travelled the country following the now defunct Norwich speedway team. The premature death of a speedway rider enabled David to use his artistic talent to raise funds to support the rider’s family.

David talks with great humour about his early working life working in his uncle and aunt’s garage.   He also recalls his leisure time spent in country pursuits,  fishing and catching rabbits – although he admits he didn’t have the patience for the former!
