Among others, David’s school friends at Hickling School included Rita Martin and his own brother John as well as our “Voices” David Lambert and Paul Borrett. In addition, he used to “hang around” with “Voice” Huggie Gibbs.
In this picture of the Top Class taken in 1952 Headmaster Fred Drake is at the left end of the back row. Next to him is David Lambert, and next is David Osborne.
David’s brother John is third from the right in the middle row and Paul Borrett is at the extreme right ofd the middle row.
Rita Martin is fourth from the left in the front row.
