Earliest memories

Paul Borrett’s earliest memory was of the birth of his sister in the dreadful winter of 1947.   A farmer through and through, he recounts the story of the poor crops that year.

He also talks about his father Jack’s first memory of being held up on the roof of Hickling Hall to watch the searchlights on a zeppelin that was bombing Great Yarmouth!
