MOLLY’S MEMORIES:

Gas masks
Air attack on the village school
Everyone had to have a gas mask. Molly Grenacre tells of how she was pleased they never had to use them - especially the baby’s one because her whole body had to go in it!
The baby’s gas mask seen here is in the collection of Darren, owner of Poppylands Tea Rooms in Horsey, Norfolk. Much of his collection of military memorabilia is on show in the Tea Rooms which have an authentic 1940’s ambience.
