After leaving school
Photo from family collection
After leaving school, Ralph Lamb trained as an apprentice electrician with his father. His wages then were 5 shillings a week!
When he got into the army he earned a guinea a week (£1.05)
He was a gun layer and as a result became deaf in one ear.
