Stone from the Priory

A lot of the stone in the Hall came from Hickling Priory (was  “nicked” from it in Bernard’s words…).  This was very old stone originally from Caen in France.

For the recent rebuild of the Hall, more stone was sourced from the same quarry in Caen.
