This is one of the longest clips on the website, coming in at just over 5 minutes:  Gwen tells the story of how she heard a German plane strafing  a group of cottages in Town Street, how she threw her bike down and dived into a bush by a house in fear in fear that she might become a target and how the plane then went to machine gun Hickling Hall.

She found this a very frightening experience, and you can hear in her voice as she tells the story that its details are as vivid today as they were to her when it happened!
