John had a choice of Stalham School or (an opportunity offered because of his father’s death in the war) Duncan Hall School at Scratby  for his secondary education.

He chose Stalham School because all his friends were there.

Another of our “Voices”,  John Tallowin, was at one stage a weekly boarder at Duncan Hall and tell they were “the worst days of my life…”
