Swimming in the clear waters of the Broad before the water went cloudy
Roland Green’s Mill, which he used as a studio, later became known as “The Dipping Place”.
In this days the water of the Broad would come up to the mill and provide a perfect shelving beach for the village youngsters to learn to swim.
