Seaplanes and Sunday walks
Photo Archant/Eastern Daily Press
At the start of the Great War, concrete slope had been built art the Broad end of the Pleasure Boat land: this was never used for its original purpose - maintenance of seaplanes - and in 1926 it was taken away and a jetty built over the top.
The jetty became a focus for children to play on and for Sunday walks for the families.
