Megan remembers playing at her granny’s house with a baby’s gas mask.  

A baby’s gas mask was designed to hold the whole baby, and Megan used to put her doll to bed in it! 

The gas masks made for babies were cumbersome to say the least!  They were designed to completely envelop the baby!

The baby’s gas mask seen here is in the collection of Darren (pictured),  owner of Poppylands Tea Rooms in Horsey, Norfolk.  Much of his collection of military memorabilia is on show in the Tea Rooms which have an authentic 1940’s ambience.
