The 1953 flood

Megan remembers the 1953 floods. She cycled with her father and grandfather to Sea Palling, where “the water was everywhere”.
There were oranges floating about - they had come from a ship that had foundered off the coast. Megan collected some of them because - as she says, they weren’t that common at that time.
